William R. Martin (1913- ) is the son of Thomas L. Martin. Thomas L. Martin was born in 1885 and died in 1958. He earned a Ph. D. degree in agronomy from Cornell University. He joined the faculty at Brigham Young University in 1921 under President Franklin Harris, and taught for 37 years.
